Nine Mile readies to spin Wedge drill rig

Nine Mile Metals (CSE:NINE) is mobilising a skid mounted drill rig for an upcoming drilling campaign at the Wedge Project in New Brunswick, Canada.

The program, comprising seven holes, will focus on the new western extension of the deposit and will be testing the model at depth. Nine Mile seeks to obtain the depth of mineralisation of the higher grade copper lens, as well as prove a larger western footprint, adding new tonnage to the deposit model.

Once completed, the company will add the new drill data to its 3D live modelling, including geological, geophysical, and drillhole cross-section results.

The rig is enroute from Sudbury Ontario and is expected to arrive at Orbit Garant’s facility in Dieppe, New Brunswick 4 November for hydraulics servicing and winterisation. The rig is expected to arrive at Wedge on 10 November.

Vice President of Exploration Gary Lohman says with previous mining and exploration limited to the upper portions of the deposit, this series of holes will expand the mineralised footprint.

“All drillholes will be capped on completion to facilitate downhole geophysics which, along with the cross-section drill results, assists in resource 3D modelling and exploration planning,” Lohman says.

Nine Mile Metals is a Canadian mineral explorer focused on volcanic massive sulphide exploration in the Bathurst Mining Camp.
