Nine Mile Metals (CSE:NINE) has pushed its Wedge Western Extension program another step forward, confirming two copper-rich VMS zones in its latest drillhole, WD-25-02.
The hole was drilled from the same pad as the first hole but stepped 50m west, extending the mineralised strike.
WD-25-02 cut massive sulphides at two horizons — the first at 139m depth and a second, thicker zone at around 155m, with an estimated true width of 20m. The core shows strong chalcopyrite mineralisation along with banded Pb-Zn sulphides, plus visible bornite and covellite — indicators the system is both copper-dominant and robust.
All core has been logged, photographed and sampled, with 55 intervals sent for base and precious metals analysis at Actlabs. A quick XRF review has also confirmed sulphide presence ahead of full assays.
VP Exploration Gary Lohman says the western extension continues to demonstrate thickness and grade continuity, with modelling now pointing to a potential third zone to the northwest.
CEO Patrick Cruickshank adds that the mineralisation remains “spectacular”, reinforcing the western flank as a growing copper lens.
Drilling on hole WD-25-02B is underway.
Nine Mile continues to advance its broader VMS portfolio across the Bathurst Mining Camp, targeting copper-rich critical minerals systems aligned with EV and clean-energy demand.
