Nimy Resources begins RC drilling program at Mons Nickel REE and Lithium Project in WA

Nimy Resources kicks off RC drilling at Mons to test priority nickel, rare earth and lithium targets

Nimy Resources (ASX:NIM) has started a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at its Mons Nickel, Rare Earth Element (REE), and Lithium Project in Western Australia.

The company says the drilling program will comprise over 8,000m of RC drilling across 5 drillholes being conducted to test at the Rare Earth Carbonatite target, as well as 9 priority prospects.

Adding on, Nimy Resources notes the program may be extended following the assessment of moving loop electromagnetic survey (MLEM) surveys or the interpretation of visual results.

Drilling will be undertaken by Raglan Drilling, and will be operating under agreement to receive 50% of costs (up to $1 million) in equity.

Addressing the drilling program, Nimy Resources Chairman Simon Lill said: “The commencement of a drilling program is always an exciting time. It is particularly exciting to be involved with the commencement of RC drilling of nine high priority, high impact targets. This follows significant background work including EM modelling, soil sampling and previous drilling information.

Nimy is drilling nickel targets characterised by the presence of conductor plates, strong nickel, sulphur soil responses and favourable underlying magnetic geophysics.

Additionally we feel that the Carbonatite REE prospect and the South Lake Lithium Prospect have much to reveal through this drilling campaign.”

The company also notes Wireline Services have arrived onsite and set up a loop for an MLEM survey at the Dease Gossan.

Nimy Resources is an ASX-listed exploration company with a vision to responsibly discover and develop an economic nickel-sulphide project in a Tier 1 jurisdiction.

The company’s Mons Nickel project is situated at the northern end of the Forrestania nickel belt in Western Australia, which is host to a world-class nickel endowment at the southern end with numerous other ‘high-grade’ nickel deposits extending to the north.

The project currently covers a total land area of 2,546km-square, comprising 12 approved tenements and 4 in the approval process, which cover the majority of the currently identified mineralised systems about 140km north-northwest of the mining centre of Southern Cross.
