NexGen Energy (ASX:NXG) is raising over $800 million through two offerings with North American and Australian underwriters to fund engineering costs at the Rook I Uranium Project in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan.
A syndicate of North American underwriters, led by Merrill Lynch Canada, have agreed to subscribe for 33.11 million shares at an issue price of C$12.08 per share to raise C$400 million ($434.29 million).
Concurrent with this offering, NexGen is also raising another $400 million from and Australian underwriter, Aitken Mount Capital Partners, issuing 30.53 million shares to be settled as CHESS depository interests.
Canaccord Genuity is acting as the joint lead manager and bookrunner for the Australian offering.
The offering is expected to close on 15 October 2025.
As reported by Mining.com.au earlier this year, the company is currently conducting camp commissioning at the Rook I Project.
The program includes the establishment of a temporary exploration airstrip, which will expand the accommodation camp facilities for an additional 373 beds and site access road improvements.
NexGen intends to improve overall worker and equipment safety at the project site by expanding the width of the road for two-way traffic.
NexGen Energy is a Canadian miner focused on delivering clean fuel from its assets to align with the energy transition.
