Nevada Organic Phosphate (CSE:NOP) Director Garry Smith says the company is set to strengthen its understanding of the flat-lying horizon’s grade continuity at the Murdock Mountain Project in Nevada, with drill mobilisation now underway.
Once mobilisation is complete, a drilling program will begin with the aim of further evaluating the strike, thickness, lateral continuity, and grade characteristics of the Meade Peak Upper Phosphate Zone, which outcrops across Murdock Mountain.
Smith adds that the drill program will also provide improved true thickness control across the project area.
“These data points are important steps in the incremental de-risking of the geological model and in assessing the potential for a phosphate mineral resource estimate in accordance with NI 43-101,” the Director says.
“Our work continues to proceed with discipline and full alignment with regulatory and scientific standards.”
CEO Robin Dow notes that the company remains on schedule and is ready for the next phase of work.
“The mobilisation of FTE Drilling marks an important step, and we’re excited to be advancing the program again as we continue to evaluate the potential of the Murdock Mountain phosphate system,” Dow says.
Wildlife pre-clearance surveys and the planned bulldozer work for the construction of new drill pads is complete.
Murdock Mountain hosts a nearly flat-lying sedimentary phosphate horizon within the Meade Peak Formation.
The first six drill holes, completed by Nevada Organic Phosphate in late 2025, returned an average grade of 10.95% phosphorous pentoxide over a true thickness of 4.2m, consistent with its geological model for the Upper Phosphate Zone.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior explorer with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed, 6.6km long, in northeast Nevada, US.
