Nevada Organic Phosphate (CSE:NOP) has released assay results from the Murdock Mountain property in Elko, Nevada, reporting a weighted average of 11.82% phosphorus pentoxide over an apparent thickness of 6m from drillhole MM26-7.
CEO Robin Dow says that this hole “has returned another solid phosphorus pentoxide assay, adding to the growing body of evidence that our exploration target is both laterally consistent and technically compelling”.
“Each new data point contributes to the de-risking of the project and strengthens our foundation for the next phase of work.”
The exploration target sits in the upper phosphatic zone, which is a 3.4m to 7.6m interval within the Meade Peak Member, which comprises 28 to 40m of phosphatic siltstone and phosphorite.
Drillhole MM26-7 was drilled vertically to a depth of 152m, with the drill collar positioned around 100m north and upslope from the drillhole completed last fall, which intersected 38m of the target Meade Peak stratigraphy.
Sample preparation and analysis were completed by ALS (ASX:ALQ) Laboratories. Phosphate assaying was undertaken using ME-XRF24 whole-rock analysis.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior exploration company with a 6.6km-long organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed in northeast Nevada, US.
