Nevada Organic Phosphate (CSE:NOP) is preparing to conduct a drilling program at the Murdock Mountain Phosphate Project in Nevada, designed to expand the geological model strike potential, refine structural controls and support future resource work.
This news comes after all required pre-clearance wildlife surveys associated with the company’s exploration program have been completed with no issues identified.
Both designated sage grouse lek sites have also undergone the first scheduled survey without concern, while the second and final survey will be completed shortly.
Nevada Organic says these environmental confirmations allow the company to advance the next phase of fieldwork. The company expects to have the bulldozer back onsite momentarily to complete construction of the new drill pads.
Once pad preparations are underway, the company’s drill contractor will resume drilling to further evaluate the strike potential and thickness, lateral continuity and grade characteristics of the phosphate zone that outcrops across Murdock Mountain.
CEO Robin Dow says Nevada is in a “major” exploration boom cycle and environmental consultants and drilling companies are operating at capacity.
“We are excited to be completing our pre-clearance wildlife surveys and to be returning to drilling with our new contractor within our optimal project timelines,” Dow says.
The Murdock Mountain Project hosts a shallow dipping, road accessible sedimentary phosphate zone that has demonstrated consistent mineralisation.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is a junior explorer with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed in northeast Nevada, US.
