Nevada Organic Phosphate (CSE:NOP) expects to conduct additional financings to keep its treasury topped up for exploration programs within the next six months, amid continuing drilling at the Murdock Mountain Project in the US.
Speaking to Mining.com.au, director Garry Smith says the company has another 5km of strike yet to explore at Murdock Mountain.
“We will release drillhole results as soon as assays are received and validated,” Smith tells this news service.
“We will also check for continued ‘no significant heavy mental contaminants. We have received considerable assay data from the first six drillholes and will be releasing some of the potentially beneficial minerals associated with our main target.”
Smith adds that once the US winter conditions allow, Nevada Organic will continue the majority of its prospecting on its three additional permit areas, alongside formalising a drill plan for these areas.
This news comes after Nevada Organic received the final phosphorous pentoxide assay results from a 2025 drilling program at Murdock Mountain at the beginning of 2026.
As previously reported, the results reinforce the consistency of phosphate mineralisation across the Upper Phosphatic zone, while also supporting the company advancing its understanding of the sedimentary phosphate system.
Some of the results include 5.12m @ 10.23% P2O5; 4.79m @ 10.7% P2O5; and 4.7m @ 11.2% P2O5.
Surpassing expectations
Smith says the results – covering 1.5km of strike – align with the company’s geological model and predicted expectations.
“In fact, they surpass our expectations by the geometry being so predictable. The contaminant assays in particular are consistent with our model expectations of being very low.”
With the company’s exploration target mineralisation inventory at over 20 million tonnes at the Nevagro permit, Nevada Organic says this is potentially scalable to a very large source of organic, clean, direct application phosphate fertiliser that supports regenerative agriculture.
Smith explains that the Murdock Mountain Project is now confirmed to be differentiated from any US industry-typical acid-based phosphate that may have various environmental issues.
“We will require no chemical treatment, nor will we generate toxic tailings, nor consume any water for processing,” he says.
The Murdock Mountain Project has historical geological mapping conducted which has traced the phosphate-rich bed over a 8km strike length, with a potential average thickness of 3.35m at up to 15% phosphorous pentoxide. The project is located in Nevada, US, 6km from the Southern Pacific railway.
Nevada Organic Phosphate is focused on becoming a producer of raw, organic, direct-ship of pit-run phosphate fertiliser in North America.
