Neu Horizon Uranium (ASX:NHU) has contracted SkyTEM Surveys to undertake a 3,200-line kilometre helicopter-borne transient electromagnetic survey across its Krokom and Vilhelmina uranium projects in Sweden.
The survey will deploy the high-power SkyTEM306 HP system across 11 exploration permits to map and estimate the thickness of conductive black-shale units hosting uranium mineralisation. Survey lines will be flown at 150m to 250m spacing.
CEO Conrad Ocker says the strategy focuses on systematically exploring the company’s district-scale portfolio in Sweden.
“The data from the SkyTEM survey will provide a direct means of mapping the lateral and vertical continuity of the highly conductive uranium-bearing black shales located over our exciting Krokom and Vilhelmina projects,” Ocker says.
Results will integrate with high-resolution drone magnetic, radiometric, and RadonX surveys to refine targets for a planned winter drilling campaign.
The exploration program follows legislative changes in Sweden, which removed uranium extraction prohibitions on 1 January and eliminated municipal council approval requirements on 15 July as part of plans to expand nuclear generation capacity.
Neu Horizon completed a $12 million initial public offering at $0.20 per share, fully funding its planned two-year Swedish exploration program.
Neu Horizon Uranium is focused on identifying and exploring district-scale uranium opportunities, with a core focus on Sweden.
