Western Mines Group (ASX:WMG) has announced a major milestone with the unveiling of what is believed to be Australia’s largest nickel sulphide deposit at the Mulga Tank Project.
Managing Director Caedmon Marriott shared details on the project’s impressive scale, with 5.3 million tonnes, including a significant portion already drilled to an indicated resource status. Despite current nickel market conditions, Western Mines remains confident in the project’s long-term viability, highlighting its large, low-grade deposit.
The company is now focused on advancing its exploration efforts with plans to further infill, drill and expand the resource, particularly targeting higher-grade nickel zones. With an exploration strategy designed to focus on increasing confidence levels and adding tonnes of higher-grade nickel, the Mulga Tank Project is poised for continued growth. Western Mines is set to deliver more exploration results and is working toward completing a Scoping Study that will provide greater clarity on the project’s economics and feasibility.
