Monadelphous secures $150 million contract from Rio Tinto

Monadelphous Group (ASX:MND) has been awarded new construction and maintenance contracts valued at $150 million from mining giant Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO). 

The company has secured a multidisciplinary construction contract under a sustaining capital projects panel agreement for a replacement ammonium nitrate storage facility at Rio Tinto’s Brockman 4 Mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. 

Monadelphous, which has a market capitalisation of $1.4 billion, says work under the contract is expected to be completed in the first half of 2026. 

The company has also been awarded a three-year panel contract to provide water management works across Rio Tinto’s mine operations in the Pilbara. 

Rio Tinto has several Pilbara iron ore operations including the Tom Price, Paraburdoo, Channar, Eastern Range, Marandoo, Brockman 2 and 4, Nammuldi, Western Turner Syncline, Silvergrass, West Angelas, Hope Downs 1 and 4, Yandicoogina, Mesa A, Mesa J, and Gudai-Darri mines. 

Monadelphous is an Australian engineering group that provides construction, maintenance, and industrial services to the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
