MLG executes Northern Star multi-million-dollar contracts

Mining services company MLG Oz (ASX:MLG) has executed contracts, valued at $45 million, with Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) across four operations in Western Australia.

The company will provide haulage and site services across Northern Star’s Jundee, South Kalgoorlie, Kanowna Belle, and Kalgoorlie Consolidated gold mines operations.

MLG, which has a market capitalisation of $84.14 million, says two of the contracts will run until 30 June 2027.

Meanwhile, the new agreements will come soon which encompasses the provision of site services, loading and haulage of ore, run of mine pad management, crusher feed works and concentrate handling and haulage.

Managing Director Murray Leahy says the new contracts extend the company’s overall relationship with Northern Star to more than 10 years.

“This series of contract extensions demonstrates the shared commitment to this important and long-standing partnership,” Leahy says.

“Our central operations based out of our Kalgoorlie head office are the heart of our business providing an unrivalled network of services and equipment for our Goldfields customers.”

In December 2024, the company signed up to $80 million worth of contracts with Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) and privately held Norton Gold Fields. Further, in November 2024, MLG signed a new contract with Evolution’s wholly owned subsidiary for a five-year term valued at $32 million per year from FY26.

MLG Oz is a Kalgoorlie-based integrated mining services and resource asset management company. The company delivers tailored solutions to mining operations focused on supporting ore processing facilities across gold, iron ore, and base metals in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.
