The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) is up 87.10 points by almost 1% this morning (24 June) led by Gina Rinehart backed Liontown Resources (ASX:LTR) which was 5.3% at around 10.50am (AEST).
The S&P/ASX200 has taken the news of the Iran-Israel ceasefire with a positive sentiment underpinning markets at the start of the Asian trading day.
Nickel Industries (ASX:NIC), which has a market capitalisation of $3.01 billion, has also seen a jump in its trading price to $0.725, representing a 4.32% increase.
PLS (ASX:PLS), formerly known as Pilbara Minerals, announced a change of director’s interest this morning, increasing its share price by 4.15% to $1.25 per share.
The S&P/ASX200 is Australia’s leading share market index and contains the top 200 ASX-listed companies in terms of market capitalisation, and accounts for 80% of the country’s equity market. The index is designed to measure the performance of the 200 largest index-eligible stocks listed on the ASX by float-adjusted market capitalisation.
It is recognised as the institutional investable benchmark in the country.
