The S&P/ASX200 closed down just 6.70 points Tuesday (3 September) to 8,103.20 with miners the biggest losers.
Gold Road Resources (ASX:GOR) was a diamond in the rough on a tough day for mining companies, closing trade 3.975% higher.
The bottom performing stocks in this index were Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN) and Liontown (ASX:LTR), which closed down 8.45% and 8.45% respectively.
Stanmore Resources (ASX:SMR) slipped 6.21%, while IGO (ASX:IGO) also closed 4.62% lower.
Over the past five days, the index has gained 0.40% and is currently 0.56% off of its 52-week high.
