Drilling has added a further 800 metres of prospective strike to Ora Banda Mining’s (ASX:OBM) Little Gem Gold Project, approximately 120km northwest of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia’s Goldfields.
The company’s existing strike at the Sapphire Trend discovery, 200 metres east of the Little Gem Trend, together with the new prospect expands the site’s mineralised envelope to more than 1.5km.
This represents a 114.2% increase on the previous length. The envelope is approximately 750 metres underground.
The latest drilling results from the Sunraysia Prospect (3km south of Little Gem) uncovered high-grade mineralisation with intersections between nine metres at 4.1 grams per tonne, with two metres at 14.5 g/t, as well as three metres at 9.3 g/t with one metre at 21.2 g/t.
Both Little Gem and Sapphire are broad north-south striking, composed of multiple sub-parallel and sub-vertical gold lodes. Mineralisation geometry remains predictable as drill spacing reduces and macro high grade plunges, which were identified in the drill core, mimic those seen at Riverina – about 30 degrees to the south.
“These outstanding drill results continue to confirm the scale and quality of the Little Gem system, with recent gains from exploration step-outs at the Sapphire Trend and Sunraysia Prospect demonstrating the outstanding potential of this area,” Managing Director Luke Creagh says.
A maiden mineral resource is expected to be delivered during the second half of calendar 2026.
Ora Banda Mining is a gold exploration and development company with assets in Western Australia’s Goldfields region.
