Metro Mining (ASX:MMI) announces the resignation of its non-executive director Jo-Anne Scarini, which took effect over the weekend (30 May).
Scarini has acted as non-executive director for the company since 29 October 2024. She was also the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee and a member of the People and Culture Committee.
Non-executive Chairman Douglas Ritchie says Scarini has been a “highly regarded and respected member” of Metro’s board since her appointment.
“We are sad to see her go,” Ritchie says.
“On behalf of the board of directors, we extend our thanks to Jo for her valuable contribution to Metro during an intense and significant period of growth for the company and wish her all the very best.”
As reported by Mining.com.au earlier this month, Metro mined 563,000 wet metric tonnes at the Bauxite Hills Mine in April 2026, representing a 33% increase year-on-year.
Metro Mining is a bauxite producer, focused on its 100%-owned Bauxite Hills Mine north of Weipa, near the coast of the Skardon River in Far North Queensland.
