Metro delivers final shipments for 2025

Metro Mining (ASX:MMI) has delivered operational updates from its Bauxite Hills Operation, with a record 6.2 million wet metric tonnes (WMT) of shipments achieved in 2025, a 0.5 million WMT (9%) increase year-on-year.

The results from December 2025 shipping were 543,000 WMT, setting a December record, and a 16% increase year-on-year, delivered across 23 working days. The shipping window was reduced by several days due to inclement weather, with an additional four day delay recorded in the arrival of the final vessel.

Mine production ceased on 3 January 2026 with the wet season planned maintenance work now beginning. Production that has just ended has provided the company with sufficient stock to load the final vessel, subject to weather conditions.

Metro has also reported their year-end cash position of $57 million, with their senior debt facility at $62 million.

Metro Mining is a bauxite producer, focused on its 100% owned Bauxite Hills Mine north of Weipa, near the coast of the Skardon River in north Queensland.
