Metro beats another record shipment

Metro Mining (ASX:MMI) has achieved a record shipment for Q3 and year-to-date, totalling 2.3 million wet metric tonnes and 4.1 million wet metric tonnes, respectively, from the Bauxite Hills Operations in Queensland.

In September 2025, 779,000 wet metric tonnes were shipped, representing a 3.5% increase from August. In August, the company shipped 753,101 wet metric tonnes at Bauxite Hills, as previously reported

A focus on barge cycle productivity has yielded a new daily shipment record of 38,952 wet metric tonnes, along with three-day and seven-day average records of 33,498 wet metric tonnes and 31,395 wet metric tonnes, respectively.

Metro, which has a market capitalisation of $555.3 million, says a 36-hour planned shutdown of the offshore floating terminal Ikamba was executed to enable the upgrading of chutes for improved materials handling.

Additionally, dozer availability limited stripping and mine production for a short period.

The company notes pricing outcomes for Q4 are currently being finalised with an upcoming expected in an upcoming quarterly review.

Metro Mining is an independent bauxite producer and explorer focused on its Bauxite Hills Mine operating on the Weipa bauxite plateau.
