MetalsTech (ASX:MTC) has announced the appointment of two new technical directors to the board of directors as the company prepares to advance the Sturec Gold Mine.
Michael McKeown has wide industry experience, having worked across mining geology, exploration geology, and mining engineering since the 1970s. He has experience across a range of commodities and is skilled in the interpretation of structurally complex geology, mineral resource estimation, and business analysis for both existing and proposed mining operations.
Stuard Hutchin brings over 24 years of experience to the role, in both the Australian and international mining industry. Having worked across grassroots exploration and mine geology and resource estimation in both underground and surface mining operations, Hutchin brings a range of experience in project assessment, geological, audits, project valuation, and due diligence.
Executive Director Gino D’Anna says that these appointments represent a “significant step forward for the company” as they progress the completion of the pre-feasibility study for the Sturec project.
“Having access to highly experienced technical directors will ensure that Sturtec continues to advance and develop towards mining,” D’Anna says.
“Our team in Slovakia is busy preparing the Sturec site for an expended exploration program to support an increase in the mineable resources as well as continue the permitting process for the project.”
MetalsTech is advancing the 2.8 million ounce Sturec Gold Mine in Slovakia.
