Mercado Minerals (CSE:MERC) reports initial surface sampling results from its reconnaissance program at the Zamora Project in Sinaloa, Mexico.
Surface chip sampling at the Campanillas Vein returned multiple ‘high-grade’ intervals, including 1m of 828g/t silver (Ag) and 1m of 410g/t Ag with 1.66g/t gold (Au).
The program focused on verifying historical ‘high-grade’ results and expanding the known zone of mineralisation along strike. Detailed mapping along the exposed surface trend revealed a 300m‑long segment of the vein.
Systematic chip sampling indicates the Campanillas Vein has approximate true widths between 0.6m and 2.4m, with grades ranging 2–828g/t Ag and 0.04–1.66g/t Au.
“These initial surface results are highly encouraging and confirm the high-grade nature of the Campanillas Vein. Grades as high as 828g/t silver confirm the exceptional grade potential we identified at Zamora,” CEO Daniel Rodriguez says.
“Our sampling extends mineralisation beyond the historic underground workings, pointing to a larger high-grade mineralising system along the broader vein trend.”
Mercado plans to extend systematic surface sampling and mapping to the remaining concessions.
