McLaren Minerals (ASX:MML) has confirmed up to 12.5% heavy minerals around 500m north of the indicated resource boundary at the McLaren Titanium Project, as the company targets a mineral resource update and complete a Prefeasibility Study (PFS).
Phase one has returned 1,172 samples from drilling so far, with the remaining expected shortly.
Intersections returned from surface feature 8m @ 4.1% heavy minerals including 12.5% heavy minerals from 7m, 9m @ 5.6% heavy minerals including 7m @ 6.2% heavy minerals from 3-10m, and 12m @ 5.1% heavy minerals including 7m @ 5.67% from 5-12m.
The company has conducted 4,067m of drilling spanning 192 holes, with 2,161 samples targeting resource and extension zones.
Managing Director Simon Finnis says the results returned are consistent with the company’s expectations for the project.
“Even though most are from outside the indicated resource, they show broad and continuous intersections of heavy minerals, which are typical of what we have seen here before,” Finnis says.
“The information we’re gathering will help guide the upcoming mineral resource upgrade and shape our plans for the next phase of work.”
McLaren Minerals is a mineral explorer focused on developing its namesake project, located in the Eucla Basin of Western Australia.
