McLaren Minerals (ASX:MML) has confirmed ‘high-grade’ heavy mineral (HM) mineralisation to the south of the current indicated resource area at its flagship McLaren Titanium Project in Western Australia.
Intercepts returned include 24m @ 4.54% HM from surface, including 3m @ 5.05% HM from 6m, and 1.5m @ 9.69% HM from 22.5m; 13.5m @ 5.8% HM from surface, including 1.5m @ 14.23% HM from surface; and 19.5m @ 4.01% HM from surface.
Mineralisation is traced to extend beyond the southern boundary for around 500m, remaining open along strike with potential to boost the project’s resource.
Managing Director Simon Finnis describes the MM series to be “very encouraging” for reinforcing the strength and consistency of the McLaren orebody.
“The fact that we are seeing grades above 5% heavy minerals, with some intercepts exceeding 14% heavy minerals, demonstrates the quality of this deposit,” Finnis says.
“Importantly, all of these results will flow directly into the mineral resource update now underway, which in turn feeds into the Prefeasibility Study.
“The growing confidence in both the geology and the metallurgy gives us a solid foundation as we shape our development pathway.”
McLaren Minerals is an explorer focused on developing the McLaren Titanium Project in the Eucla Basin of Western Australia to provide material needed for aerospace, defence, and energy technologies.
