Manhattan Gold secures claims in Nunavut greenstone belt

Manhattan Gold (ASX:MHC) has expanded its Hook Lake Project in Nunavut, Canada by securing 81km2 of gold-endowed mineral claims around 30km west of the existing project.

The company notes that the new claims feature several gold and arsenic anomalies in till sampling, which have been reported as being the largest within the greenstone belt.

Surface channel sampling has provided results up to 5.75 grams per tonne gold over 1.5m within a 7.7m zone, with peak values reaching 17.14g/t gold over 0.3m. Historical sampling by Comaplex in 2000 confirmed these values with surface rock chip sample results up to 16.6g/t gold extending beyond the discovery zone.

Manhattan is expanding its high-resolution magnetic survey to cover these new claims, noting that the results will be pivotal in correlating gold occurrences and identifying further drill targets.

Technical Advisor Eric Sondergaard says that securing the new claims supports the company’s goal of becoming a major regional player in the greenstone belt.

“Acquisition through staking of mineral claims comes at a relatively low cost to the company, with exceptional upside for the discovery of additional gold deposits,” Sondergaard says.

“Initial sampling results, highlighting anomalous gold values over 7m of outcrop, are highly encouraging.

“With the high resolution airborne magnetic survey set to resume shortly, we expect to rapidly refine additional targets across both the existing project and these newly acquired claims.”

Manhattan is set to commence its maiden reverse circulation drilling program at Hook Late in April 2026 with the inclusion of the new targets which will be assessed based on geological mapping, surface rock and channel sampling, and airborne magnetics to generate additional targets.

Manhattan Gold is an early-stage gold and polymetallic exploration company focused on exploration in tier one jurisdictions.
