Mammoth’s ‘bonanza-grade’ Imperial haul keeps growing

Mammoth Minerals (ASX:M79) has returned ‘high-grade’ gold, silver, and copper results from rock chip sampling at the Imperial prospect, expanding the company’s pipeline of drill targets ahead of reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Blue Dick.

The company’s reconnaissance sampling confirmed widespread mineralisation across the Imperial prospect, with standout results including 22.1 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 8.4g/t silver (Ag) from sample MREX00972B.

Silver-dominant results reached 1,631g/t Ag with 0.3g/t Au from MREX00888B, while copper-dominant results peaked at 15.6% copper (Cu) from MREX00976.

Additional gold-dominant results include 4.4g/t Au, 7.2g/t Ag, and 10.32% Cu from MREX01016, and 3.6g/t Au with 111g/t Ag from MREX00978. Silver results feature 1,352g/t Ag from MREX00865 and 1,323g/t Ag from MREX00897.

Sampling at the Railroad Springs trend delivered consistent silver values, while a previously unidentified target west of Imperial returned 250g/t Ag and 0.33g/t Au.

“These latest results have exceeded expectations and reinforced the exceptional prospectivity of the Excelsior Springs Project,” Managing Director Glenn Poole says.

“The combination of bonanza-grade gold, silver, and copper assays from previously unmapped historical workings and outcrops across the Imperial and Railroad prospects has significantly expanded our pipeline of high-priority drill targets.”

The results strengthen the company’s geological model at Excelsior Springs, generating multiple priority drill targets ahead of the upcoming RC drilling campaign planned across the Blue Dick, Buster, and Imperial areas.

The drill rig is expected to arrive within the week.

More than 6km of prospective strike has now been defined, with the Blue Dick prospect returning some of the ‘highest-grade’ values seen across the wider claim area.

Previous drilling adjacent to the Imperial shear zone returned significant results, including 28.96m @ 2.23g/t Au from 3.05m and 13.72m @ 4.74g/t Au from 30.48m.

“These results show a high level of consistency across the sampled areas, providing further evidence of a large-scale mineral system similar to the nearby Tonopah West Silver Project, which hosts a resource of 8.29 million tonnes at 462g/t silver equivalent,” Poole notes.

Preparation of the maiden JORC mineral resource estimate for the Buster Mine zone is continuing, with release expected later this quarter.

Mammoth Minerals is an Australian-based explorer advancing high-potential gold and copper assets across the Americas, including the Excelsior Springs Project in Nevada.
