M3 Mining Limited (ASX:M3M) has reported ‘exceptional high-grade’ copper grades from rock chip sampling at the Victoria Bore Project near Exmouth, Western Australia.
Highlight results from the program include:
- 26.6% Cu, 32.9 g/t Ag and 0.11 g/t Au
- 17.8% Cu, 57.2 g/t Ag and 0.06 g/t Au
- 0.56% Cu and 1.5 g/t Ag
Speaking on the news, Executive Director Simon Eley said: “The exceptional rock chip samples have confirmed the highly prospective nature of the historic Victoria Copper Mine. We now look forward drill testing both extensions to the historic workings as well as two EM anomalies at depth that are coincident with the interpreted mineralisation trends.”

Following on from the promising results, the company has kicked off a 1,200m maiden RC drilling program at Victoria Bore, which will test historical workings along with targets generated from a combination of auger work and historical data.
Drilling will be tasked with delineating mineralisation in fresh rock, along with generating further data on the polymetallic mineralised system.
The company notes that priority regional targets are untested using modern exploration technology, leading to the potential for a maiden copper discovery.
