Lord Resources (ASX:LRD) is preparing to potentially drill additional holes within its Horse Rocks Lithium Project in Western Australia pending results from its latest drilling program.
This news comes after the junior explorer completed a phase two reverse circulation (RC) program at Horse Rocks.
A full suite of assay results is expected in the coming weeks, and Lord says its current heritage and environmental approvals mean it could begin drilling immediately depending on the assay results.
The company completed 15 drillholes for 2,779m in the area, targeting a down-dip projection of anomalous lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatites identified in its phase one drilling program.
Lord notes that additional holes were drilled to test the magnetic low features uncovered from a drone magnetic survey conducted in August 2023, as previously announced.
Further, drilling has confirmed Lord’s geological interpretation and expectations.

Lord Resources is a battery metals-focused explorer with a portfolio of projects in Western Australia. The company’s assets are considered prospective for lithium, nickel, platinum group elements, and gold.
As of 30 September 2023, the company had $1.87 million cash at hand, according to its latest quarterly report.
