Lodestar Minerals (ASX:LSR) has reported ‘high-grade’ gold intersections beyond its existing exploration target at the Ned’s Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company completed a 106-hole reverse circulation drilling program totalling 12,344m across the Gidgee Flat, Contessa, and Central Park prospects over two months.
Initial assays from the first 13 holes confirm continuity within the targeted shear zone while identifying new mineralisation zones beyond the December 2025 Exploration Target limits.
Significant results include 6m @ 7.16 grams per tonne gold from 140m, including 1m @ 35.34g/t from 142m in hole LNRC125, and 12m @ 1.44g/t from 88m, including 6m @ 2.56g/t from 89m in hole LNRC121. The company also intersected 15m @ 1.53g/t gold from 108m in hole LNRC111.
“The completion of 12,344m of drilling marks a transformational step forward for the Ned’s Creek Project,” CEO and Executive Director Coraline Blaud says.
“Results continue to expand the oxide mineralisation footprint while confirming the continuity of the mineralised shear-zone trend across the project area.”
The December 2025 exploration target outlined 250,000–300,000 ounces of gold in the range of 5–7 million tonnes at 1.00–1.70g/t across the three main prospects.
Current results indicate the company expects to fall within this target range, though insufficient information exists to determine where mineralisation will sit within the range.
Drilling tested infill and extensional targets to improve confidence in known gold mineralisation and expand the footprint of mineralised zones.
The company collected 578 assay samples from the first 13 drill holes, with approximately 5,200 samples from the remaining 93 holes submitted and results expected over the coming weeks.
Lodestar Minerals has commissioned a resource geologist to complete a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate in 2026. The December 2025 exploration target included a mineralisation model for the three main prospects based on previous reverse air blast and aircore drilling across oxide and fresh material zones.
The Ned’s Creek Gold Project sits in a proven gold region near Catalyst Metals (ASX:CYL)’ Plutonic Gold Mine and Plant and within trucking distance of Westgold (ASX:WGX)’s Blue Bird Plant near Meekatharra.
