The S&P/ASX200 closed up just 4.80 points on Friday (12 May 2023) to 7,256.70.
The top performing stocks in this index were battery metals and lithium play Lake Resources (ASX:LKE) and Australian agribusiness and processing company GrainCorp (ASX:GNC), up 13.04% and 5.89% respectively.
Another battery metals company, Core Lithium (ASX:CXO), was amid the top performing mining companies in the S&P/ASX200, closing up 4.955%.
Over the past 5 days, the index has gained 0.51% but is currently 4.11% off of its 52-week high.
Meanwhile, Sandfire Resources (ASX:SFR) is among the top 90-day average volume outliers with a 222% increase in volume change over the period.
