Legacy delivers 72% increase to gold resource at Mt Celia

Legacy Iron Ore Limited (ASX:LCY) has announced a 72% increase to the gold resource at its Mt Celia Project, with the total mineral resources upgraded by 93% from the previous 2020 estimate to 6,960,000 tonnes @1.38 g/t Au, for 309,200 oz.

The result includes an increase of 19% contained gold in the indicated category, and 210% in the inferred category.

Kangaroo Bore

Contained gold at Kangaroo Bore totals 231,500 oz @ 1.27 g/t Au, up 70% from the 2020 resource.

Blue Peter

Contained gold at Blue Peter totals 61,300 oz @ 2.03 g/t Au, up 19 % from 2020 resource.

Margot Find – maiden inferred resource

The results include the maiden inferred resource for the Margot Find prospect, with 353,000 tonnes @ 1.44g/t Au for 16,300 ounces.

South Laverton tenements

LCY’s main focus is the South Laverton region, where the company controls 460 km² of prospective ground. The Keith Kilkenny Tectonic Zone and the southern half of the Laverton Tectonic Zone run through the South Laverton project area.

These structures are home to a number of important gold mines, particularly the LTZ, which includes gold resources of ~20 million oz. Drilling has identified numerous JORC-compliant gold resources totalling 121,454 oz on Legacy tenements at the Mt Celia, Yilgangi, and Yerilla projects.
