Latin Resources (ASX:LRS) diamond drilling assays consistently demonstrate continuous ‘high-grade’ pegmatites at its Colina lithium deposit, within its wholly owned Salinas Lithium Project in Brazil.
The company reports 126 holes have been drilled for 36,130m to date. Additionally, the following latest assays include drillhole SADD072 with 10m @ 1.38% Li2O from 174.87m; and drillhole SADD085 with 5.10m @ 1.58% Li2O from 248.65m.
The company’s fully funded drilling campaign is operating at full capacity, with 8 diamond drill rigs on site, including 7 man-portable rigs and 1 track-mounted rig.
Latin states it is well positioned to complete all of the planned in-fill and extension drilling on time for the cut-off date for the data needed for the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) update, which is planned for June 2023.
Additionally, the company notes these initial work programs will be ongoing throughout 2023, with the rigs spinning at full speed until mid-December, in parallel with Latin’s detailed feasibility study work for Colina.
Latin Resources Vice President (VP) of Operations – Americas, Tony Greenaway says: “With our resource definition drilling program well on track for the planned mid-May cut-off for the Colina resource update, we are now looking at our next phase of work.
This will include drilling a series of large PQ diameter holes for our detailed metallurgical test work programs, testing some of our regional tenements including Salinas South, testing several new high-priority target areas directly adjacent along strike to the southwest of Colina, as well as resource infill drilling at Colina itself.”
