Kingsmen Resources (TSX‑V:KNG) reports ‘high‑grade’ silver intersections from two step‑out holes at its Las Coloradas Project in Mexico’s Parral mining district.
Hole LC‑26‑014 returned 1.4m @ 433g/t silver equivalent (AgEq), including 787g/t AgEq over 0.75m. Hole LC‑26‑015 returned 1.7m @ 185g/t AgEq, including 438g/t over 0.68m.
The drilling extends the Mine zone mineralisation across a minimum strike length of 106m in three drill fences spaced 50m apart, to a vertical depth of 155m. The mineralisation remains open at depth and along strike.
Both holes targeted a 100m undercut beneath previous intersections. LC‑26‑014 intersected the system 90m down‑dip of historic workings, while LC‑26‑015 hit mineralisation 96m down‑dip of mined areas.
President Scott Emerson says the company is continuing to grow the project footprint and seeing mineralisation similar to what was historically mined.
“We are continuing to grow the project footprint, and we are seeing mineralisation similar to what was historically mined, which gives us confidence we are in a mineral-rich system,” Emerson notes.
Emerson notes the company has reported results from only three of 19 holes drilled at Las Coloradas. The current area represents a small portion of targets across the 8.5km2 project.
“We’ve hit mineralisation at both ends of these sections without ever drilling what’s in between. That untested ground is sitting right on the same structure as our best results, and if it delivers the way we think it can, this discovery has real room to grow,” Emerson adds.
The Las Coloradas project consolidates a historic mining district in the Central Mexican Silver Belt, located 30km southeast of Hidalgo de Parral. The project covers numerous silver‑gold‑lead‑zinc‑copper mines previously exploited by ASARCO.
