Kalamazoo Resources (ASX:KZR) is continuing to develop and advance newly identified high-priority targets at the Mallina West Gold Project in Western Australia, after completing a drilling program.
Numerous activities are set to take place including cultural heritage agreements, multi-element lithogeochemical investigations, 3D gravity and magnetic modelling, and a drill program design.
The next phase of drilling will focus on other untested geophysical anomalies within the broad-scale 2.7km by 1km Wattle Plains gold in-soil anomaly.
The drill program design will coincide with preparation for the remaining untested gravity and aeromagnetic anomalies.
Kalamazoo completed a reverse circulation and diamond tailing drill program, designed to test a ‘Hemi-style’ intrusion-hosted gold mineralisation target at the Wattle Plains prospect.
Some of the results include 1.4m @ 0.74 grams per tonne gold from 323.6m and 0.5m @ 0.55g/t gold from 330.3m.
Kalamazoo, which has a market capitalisation of $67.87 million, considers the results ‘encouraging’ as gold mineralisation appears to be correlated with the presence of diorites.
The Mallina West Project, covering 484km2, is located in the Pilbara region. The project area is considered prospective for ‘Hemi-style’ high magnesium intrusion-related gold, similar to those identified at the Hemi discovery 50km to the northeast.
Kalamazoo Resources is an Australian gold and antimony explorer and developer focused on its flagship Ashburton Gold Project and a portfolio of assets in Western Australia and Victoria.
