John Hancock set to join White Cliff Minerals

White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) has announced John Hancock will be joining the company’s board of directors, as non-executive director, from 1 August 2025.

Hancock, the son of Gina Rinehart and has more than 20 years’ experience in the resources industry, financial markets, public relations and litigation.

After working in South Africa with Iscor Mining, now Kumba Resources (JSE:KIO), for two years, Hancock transitioned to the role of investor and has built a record of early-stage investments in lithium and uranium, including substantial holdings in Vulcan Energy (ASX:VUL) and Aura Energy (ASX:AEE).

White Cliff, which has a market capitalisation of $48.26 million, has also entered into an advisory mandate with John Hancock’s family office Astrotricha Capital with Gavin Rezos as the CEO.

Managing Director Troy Whittaker says Rezos’ appointment, via Astrotricha Capital, will provide the group with extensive experience as well as networks to complement his own contributions.

“The company is well-funded to shortly commence the large drill campaign at Rae as a follow on from our earlier world-class intercepts at the Danvers deposit,” Whittaker says.

Further, Daniel Smith will be retiring from his director position at White Cliff to focus on other professional interests.

White Cliff Minerals is a dual-listed mineral explorer focused on copper discoveries in tier one jurisdictions.
