Investors see red as Deep Yellow’s Borshoff steps down

Deep Yellow’s (ASX:DYL) share price plummeted almost 19% yesterday (20 October) after announcing uranium stalwart John Borshoff was stepping down as Managing Director and CEO.

The company closed trade at $1.885 per share.

Borshoff will remain with the company as an advisor to ensure a smooth leadership transition process, until the end of November 2025.

In the interim, Deep Yellow’s CFO Craig Barnes will lead the company as acting CEO.

Borshoff has been with Deep Yellow since 2016, leading it from a junior explorer to an ASX 200 company, which it says is now on the verge of becoming a multi-asset, multigeography uranium producer.

He has spent five decades in the global uranium industry. His work has spanned from exploration to mine construction and production, including founding Paladin Energy (ASX:PDN).
