Infinity Mining completes RC drilling program in Central Goldfields, WA

Infinity Mining (ASX:IMI) announces it has completed its first reverse circulation (RC) drilling program for 2023 at its Central Goldfield leases in the Leonora gold mining district of Western Australia.

Drilling was completed in early March 2023, at 5 of Infinity’s wholly owned projects including, Victor Bore, Great Northern, Barlow’s Gully, Camel, and Coppermine. The company reports a total of 37 RC drillholes were completed for a total advance of 3851m between late January and early March 2023.

The drilling program was designed to test a variety of geochemical, geophysical, and structural targets defined in 2022, for Archaen shear-hosted gold systems and Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) base-metals deposits.

A total of 16 RC drillholes were completed at the Victor Bore Project on tenements M37/1349 and P37/8376. The company states that Victor Bore has no publicly available drilling records, which makes these initial results very ‘exciting’.

Infinity reports that the 2023 RC drilling gold assay results received from the first 5 holes at Victor Bore returned several ‘significant’ gold intercepts.

The following results include VB23RC004 with 7m @ 1.96g/t Au from 32m, including 2m @ 5.08g/t Au from 34m, including 1m @ 8.67g/t Au from 34m; and VB23RC005 with 6m @ 1.40g/t Au from 25m, including 1m @ 7.33g/t Au from 29m.

Commenting on the completion of the program, Infinity Mining’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Joe Groot says: “Infinity has kicked-off 2023 with a 3851m RC drilling program in the Central Goldfields. The initial drillhole assays received to date from Victor Bore are very encouraging, with a maximum 1m assay of 8.67g/t Au in drillhole VB23RC004.

We look forward to releasing more results from this RC drilling program over the coming weeks as more assays are received from the laboratory.”’

In addition, the company reports that the gold assay results for 11 RC holes at Victor Bore are pending. Further assay results for Victor Bore and other projects are expected over the coming weeks.

The company states that once all assay results are received, a more detailed interpretation will be undertaken by the Infinity team.

Infinity Mining holds 100% interest in 711km-square of tenements in the Pilbara and Central Goldfields region of Western Australia, encompassing 10 exploration licences, 2 mining leases, and 7 prospecting licences. These tenements are situated in highly prospective gold-copper-lithium terranes.
