Impact Silver uncovers new silver vein at Guadalupe

Impact Silver (TSX-V:IPT) has uncovered a new silver vein at its Guadalupe Silver Mine in Mexico’s Zacualpan silver-gold district.

The Vancouver-based company says underground drilling intersected mineralisation of up to 1,615 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and 1.99g/t gold, upon receiving assays from the first four drillholes.

Impact notes that the wide intersection in hole MPZ-UG-001-24 is interpreted to be locally thickened by stacked splay veins off the main vein, intersecting up to 1,400g/t silver and 0.40g/t gold.

CEO and President Frederick Davidson says Guadalupe began production almost 500 years ago and the company is still finding new discoveries that make up the mine complex mineralising system.

“We are currently drilling this new Kena Vein South from the 140m level of the mine. We will next move the drill to lower and higher levels of the mine to fully define the vein for mining,” Davidson says.

“The close proximity of the new vein to current active mine workings will allow for rapid and low-cost mine development.”

The Kena Vein South has been drill tested over 150m from level 140 of the mine and is open for extensions to the southeast, updip and downdip.
