National water specialist HydroChem has acquired Western Australian chemical manufacturer Environex, which will employ over 300 staff with an annual turnover exceeding $80 million.
The combined entity will operate four manufacturing facilities plus eight dangerous good storage facilities across Australia.
Environex will continue to operate independently, as well as maintain its branded product lines and manufacturing operations in Brisbane, Bunbury and Perth.
HydroChem CEO Nick Duncan says the two companies will complement one another, rather than replicate what is already being done.
“HydroChem’s manufacturing capacity, national service responsiveness and industrial client base are all major beneficiaries of this move,” Duncan says.
Environex is a Perth–based privately held manufacturer that operates three manufacturing facilities – two in its home state and one in Southeast Queensland. The company focused on providing industrial chemicals to a national customer base, including food and beverage, mining and stone core.
HydroChem is an Australian commercial water services company. Established in 1977, HydroChem uses chemistry and innovation to deliver customised solutions to over 8,300 sites nationwide.
