Horizon Minerals (ASX:HRZ) expects its life of mine at the Black Swan processing plant in Western Australia to extend beyond five years, delivering a nameplate capacity of 2.2 million tonnes per annum.
The company has revised its delivery of study work to be returned from the plant, which was expected to be returned in the December 2025 quarter. The pipeline of work is expected to be returned in the March 2026 quarter.
Horizon is still working to complete its Prefeasibility Study for the plant, covering a process engineering study to refurbish and repurpose the plant to process gold rather than nickel.
The company says the study is largely complete, along with mining studies to create a life of mine plan, which set a minimum of five years with a minimum capacity of to process 1.5 million tonnes each year.
Horizon Minerals is an emerging gold producer focused on developing its assets in the Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie regions of Western Australia.
