Horizon delivers ‘high-grade’ gold hits at Gum Creek

Horizon Gold (ASX:HRN) has reported broad ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts from reverse circulation (RC) drilling at three prospects within its Gum Creek Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company completed 28 holes for 4,249m across the Kingfisher, Hawk, and Swan prospects, all located within 5.5km of the proposed 2.4 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant.

Kingfisher returned ‘standout results’ from 20 holes totalling 3,273m, with infill and extension drilling confirming mineralisation continuity.

Intercepts include 23m @ 5.26 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 188m, including 15m @ 7.65g/t Au from 192m; and 45m @ 1.24g/t Au from 114m, including 3m @ 6.79g/t Au from 114m.

Additional results include 12m @ 2.81g/t Au from 74m, including 6m @ 5.26g/t Au from 79m, and 21m @ 1.36g/t Au from 130m.

At Hawk, three holes for 552m tested an interpreted north-plunging mineralised shoot down-plunge of the existing resource, returning 12m @ 2.30g/t Au from 140m, including 6m @ 4.26g/t Au from 140m.

Five holes for 424m at Swan aimed to extend mineralisation northward, returning 16m @ 1.84g/t Au from 45m, including 7m @ 3.03g/t Au from 46m.

Managing Director Scott Williamson says the results highlight potential for resource expansion close to the proposed processing plant.

“Impressive high-grade RC drilling results from Kingfisher, Hawk and Swan highlight the potential for resource expansion close to the proposed 2.4Mtpa processing plant,” Williamson adds.

“These resource additions sit outside those included in the recently released Definitive Feasibility Study [DFS] and will potentially enhance project economics.”

The company plans follow-up drilling at all three prospects ahead of resource estimate updates later in 2026.

Horizon completed a DFS in July 2026 outlining a 10-year mine life producing an average 88,000 ounces per annum.

The Gum Creek Gold Project contains a total mineral resource of 37.97 million tonnes at 1.89g/t Au for 2.30 million ounces across multiple prospects.

Horizon Gold is an Australian gold development company with a portfolio of exploration and development assets across Western Australia’s Mid-West region.
