High-Tech to kick off 5,000m drill program

High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) will commence its 5,000m reverse circulation drill program any day now at the Mt Fisher Gold Project in the Northern Goldfields in Western Australia, having mobilised field crews to site to complete drill pad preparation.

The drill program follows recent geological review and targeting work designed to confirm and materially expand the existing mineral resource and to extend the ‘high-grade’ mineralisation beyond the current constraints.

CEO James Merrillees notes that High-Tech is now operationally ready to grow the existing resource with drilling.

“Alongside this, the high-grade Wagtail opportunity continues to advance toward development positioning the company with a clear pathway to near-term production while unlocking the border potential at Mt Fisher.”

The drill program is stage one of a broader growth strategy at Mt Fisher and will test extensions to 200m below surface to target down-dip continuity, extend the mineralisation along strike to the north and south, and target ‘high-grade’ shoots identified from historic and recent drilling.

In total, 146 mineralised intercepts have been identified, with 42 incorporated into the current resource. High-Tech sees a clear opportunity to grow the resource base through targeted drilling.

Historic drilling intercepts include 6m @ 9.39 grams per tonne gold, 10m @ 4.27g/t gold, 7m @ 5.07g/t gold, and 13m @ 4.41g/t gold.

Once drilling commences and assay results become available, the company will update the market with those results.

High-Tech Metals is a gold exploration and development company focused on a portfolio of gold projects in Western Australia.
