High-Tech restarts drilling at Wagtail

High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) has announced that they will recommence reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Wagtail gold deposit the week beginning 12 January 2026, following the shutdown over the holidays.

The 3,000 metre drill program is planned to test known mineralised zones within the Wagtail deposit and is expected to deliver key geological, grade, and metallurgical information to support the current resource and development studies.

Prior to the holidays, drilling intersected multiple zones of visible gold, consistent with historic mineralisation reported.

The current drill program is being managed and funded by SSH, under an existing mining agreement that was announced in September 2025. SSH is funding all pre-feasibility work and associated drilling to advance Wagtail toward a potential final investment decision (FID).

High-Tech CEO James Merrillees notes that the restart of drilling at Wagtail is “an important milestone as we complete the final metres of the current program”.

“The visible gold observed in earlier drilling is encouraging and consistent with the known mineralisation style at Wagtail, and with assay results from completed holes expected shortly, we look forward to providing a steady flow of updates to the market.”

High-Tech Metals is a gold exploration and development company, currently advancing the Mt Fisher and Mt Eureka Gold Projects in Western Australia.
