Helix enhances gold anomalies within Eastern Group tenements

Helix Resources (ASX:HLX) has enhanced the tenor and scale of three gold auger anomalies within the Eastern Group tenements, which lie 50km southeast of Nyngan in central New South Wales.

The company has received new gold assay results, which further enhance the robustness and extends continuity of the three multi-kilometre targets.

Helix, which has a market capitalisation of $6.96 million, says the Aldebaran-Max’s Folly anomaly returned several samples greater than 20 parts per billion (ppb) and is 2.1km long.

The Fiveways West anomaly is 4.7km long and remains open to the southwest, while the Gwinear gold anomaly is 2.2km long and has returned a sample greater than 5ppb.

Executive Technical Director Kylie Prendergast says these are early-stage, regional-scale results but could represent gold footprints that are continuous over 2km to 4km.

“The new prospective target zone Helix is defining is so far 11km long and remains open in two directions.”

Prendergast says the next two months will be busy as the company follows up on a range of discovery opportunities in its target pipeline.

“In the west, along the Rochford Copper Trend, geophysical results have identified new targets adjacent to the Canbelego copper deposit. We will start drilling those in May.

In the east, we are following up on these excellent gold targets, with further auger work aiming to define targets for drill testing.”

Helix is also planning multiple other work programs across its tenement portfolio, including a reverse circulation program to test defined targets in the Rochford Copper-Trend in mid-May.

Two auger rigs are currently operating in the Eastern Group tenements and sampling is in progress in the Widgelands area and the northern Collerina Trend.

Assay results from the Widgelands area and the northern Collerina Trend are pending and expected in mid- to late-May.

Further, a pole-dipole induced polarisation (IP) geophysical surveys are currently in progress at Canbelego and Bijoux, with results anticipated in May to further refine drill target areas.

Helix Resources is a copper explorer focused on discoveries in the prolific copper-producing region of Cobar, New South Wales.
