Western Australia-based heavy equipment attachments provider Hammertech has opened a second 2,200m2 facility, this time in Karratha.
Established in Perth in 2020, Hammertech continues growing its servicing clients across the Pilbara region with a customer-first approach in its design and manufacture of machinery attachments for rail and civil construction projects.
Five years after its founding, the company is celebrating the opening of its new 2,200sqm Karratha facility, which features extensive workshop space and laydown yards.
Founder and Managing Director Jarrod Whitbourne says with the capability to service everything from dump trucks, loaders and trucks to drill rigs, conveyors and port infrastructure, Hammertech’s expansion signals a long-term commitment to supporting Western Australia’s vital resources sector.
Whitbourne adds that a lot of the rail attachments Hammertech manufactures in Perth end up being used in the Pilbara.
“Opening a facility in Karratha was the next logical step. It brings us closer to our clients and gives us the agility to mobilise and deliver faster on the ground,” he says.
The new Karratha location focuses on service-based work to support mining, rail and civil clients including mechanical repairs and maintenance for mobile plant, heavy machinery and fixed plant; auto electrical services, diagnostics, repairs and installations; and hydraulic hose assembly and repairs.
The facility also offers fabrication services including custom modifications and repairs on equipment such as drill rigs and buckets.
Hammertech’s Karratha facility will also support maintenance on its growing range of attachments, complementing the company’s Perth operations which will focus on attachment fabrication.
From field breakdowns and shutdown work to major onsite repairs and servicing, Hammertech’s team of HD diesel fitters, auto electricians, LV mechanics and boiler makers can mobilise swiftly, bringing smart, practical solutions directly to site.
Hammertech currently works with major mining clients across the Pilbara and beyond, including BHP (ASX:BHP), Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO), and Roy Hill, and has supplied global machinery leader Liebherr with specialised rail equipment attachments.
