Gunnison farewells Greenstone’s Michael Hamworth

Gunnison Copper’s (TSX:GCU) Director Michael Haworth has retired from the board of directors after almost 12 years of service for the company on behalf of Greenstone Resources II.

Hamworth joined the company’s board in September 2014, providing financial oversight and strategic guidance as Gunnison advanced its Arizona-based copper assets.

His stepping down from the company follows Greenstone Resources‘ distribution and secondary private placement of shares as it approaches the end of its life cycle.

CEO Stephen Twyerould says the company is grateful for Hamworth’s contribution and years of service.

Greenstone has been a long-term and supportive partner throughout many important stages of the company’s growth, and Michael’s insight and guidance have been greatly appreciated,” Twyerould says.

“As Greenstone’s fund reaches the natural end of its life cycle and completes the exit of its investment in Gunnison, we remain grateful for the role the firm played in helping advance our assets and strengthen the company.

“We wish Michael well in his future endeavours.”

Gunnison Copper is a copper producer holding 12 known deposits in the Cochise Mining District in the Southern Arizona Copper Belt, US.
