Group 6 Metals (ASX:G6M) by 31 October 2024 expects to make an announcement to the market regarding confidential negotiations with multiple parties about a potential transaction.
The tungsten mining company remains in voluntary suspension on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) as talks continue.
Group 6 Metals notes the ongoing negotiations are commercially sensitive, incomplete, and include the company’s senior secured lending group, connection with a potential recapitalisation.
The potential transaction, which is anticipated to include a material cash injection into the company, is critical to resolving several difficulties and is expected to materially benefit its financial position.
In early September, Group 6 Metals appointed MA Moelis Australia to conduct a strategic review to determine its optimal capital structure, and to consider potential M&A to reposition the business and enhance its value proposition.
To facilitate the strategic review, the company secured support from four of its senior lenders to increase the limits under the existing bridge facility agreements dated May 2024 by $4 million and to extend the maturity dates of all near-term debt to align with the expected timing of the conclusion of the strategic review.
