Private Queensland explorer Red Fox Resources has acquired five additional exploration permits for its Selwyn Copper-Cobalt Project in the Cloncurry district.
Green Critical Minerals (ASX:GCM) owns a 30.4% stake in Red Fox.
The additional permits were secured through the sale to Fetch Metals of a partial interest in the Top Camp exploration permit, which is owned by the private company of Red Fox Chairman Doug Young.
Red Fox says the permits, which cover 95.6km2, were acquired at “little cost”.
The company has also submitted an application for another exploration permit covering 15.9km2.
Red Fox says that while the acquired ground and the new application area are not large, they complement the company’s existing exploration permits in the Selwyn area.
The new permits host several priority prospects, including Heathrow, Camel Dam (north and south) and Jasper Ridge North that have seen minimal exploration work over the past decade.
The Selwyn Project now comprises 139 sub blocks covering 443km2.
