Great Boulder Resources (ASX:GBR) has hit high gold grades in its first-pass aircore drilling within the Ironbark Corridor, part of its Side Well South project.
Managing Director Andrew Paterson joins Mining.com.au to break down the results, explaining why these early hits matter and how they point to a potential new discovery. Despite aircore drilling typically returning lower grades, Great Boulder has identified three stacked lodes, one of which appears to be a fresh gold find.
Looking ahead, Great Boulder is ramping up its exploration efforts. With a reverse circulation (RC) rig currently drilling at Mulga Bill North and a follow-up heritage survey planned, the company is setting the stage for aggressive drilling to define these targets further. With 62 more assays pending, investors can expect a steady flow of news in the coming weeks.
Key Highlights:
- High-grade gold hits: Aircore drilling at Ironbark Corridor returned strong grades, identifying three mineralised lodes.
- Potential new discovery: One lode appears to be entirely new, while others may extend historic mineralisation.
- Exploration ahead: RC drilling, heritage surveys, and more aircore drilling planned to rapidly define the deposit.
