GR Silver Mining (TSX-V:GRSL) reports ‘positive’ drill results from resource expansion drilling at the San Marcial area within its Plomosas Project in Mexico.
Diamond drilling on the southeastern extension target confirmed the extension of ‘high-grade’ silver mineralisation for an additional 150m to the southeast of the 2023 national instrument 43-101 mineral resource estimate (MRE) boundary.
One hole intersected two distinct mineralised zones in the southeastern extension target, returning 21.9m true width (TW) @ 168 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag) and 1.41% zinc (Zn) from 191.5m down hole, including 6.15m TW @ 447g/t Ag and 0.85% Zn.
Another hole intersected a near-surface mineralised zone; and, at depth, also the northwest-southeast trending Parallel breccia target.
Key intercepts include 2.85m TW @ 340g/t Ag and 0.32g/t gold (Au) from 63m down hole, including 1.75m TW @ 450g/t Ag and 0.37g/t Au; and 0.75m TW @ 5.34g/t Au from 195m down hole.
President and CEO Eric Zaunscherb says the results demonstrate the continued effectiveness of the company’s 20,000m drilling program.
“We look forward to further advancing these targets as we continue to better define and expand the mineralised system,” Zaunscherb says, adding that new data will allow GR Silver Mining to follow up on higher-grade features as the program progresses.
The 7,823-hectare Plomosas Project includes the historical Plomosas underground mine and benefits from existing infrastructure, road access, and permits.
GR Silver Mining is a Canadian-based, Mexico-focused explorer committed to silver-gold expansion at its fully-owned assets, located on the eastern edge of the Rosario mining district in southeast Sinaloa.
