Golden Horse Minerals (ASX:GHM) reports additional ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts across an estimated 3km mineralised corridor at its Hopes Hill Gold Project in Western Australia.
The company has returned multiple ‘significant’ results from reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling across the Hopes Hill Main, North, and South target areas, located 7km north of Southern Cross.
Key intercepts from the latest drilling at Hopes Hill Main include 8m @ 9.1 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 124m, including 4m @ 17.4g/t Au; 4.4m @ 12.4g/t Au from 234.5m; and 8.8m @ 4.82g/t Au from 356.2m, including 4.8m @ 7.6g/t Au from 356.2m and 5m @ 2.1g/t Au from 315m.
According to Golden Horse, the latest drilling focused on testing the footwall lode along the length of the pit of the historic 1.3km Hopes Hill mine.
Managing Director Nicholas Anderson says it is an “exciting” time to be “the exploration frontrunner” in the Southern Cross region.
“Our aggressive start to 2026 is paying dividends, with continued wins across the board, with recent results strongly suggesting Hopes Hill will be the next major mining operation at Southern Cross,” Anderson says.
Hopes Hill North returned 9m @ 2.44g/t Au from 184m, extending the zone by approximately 130m to the north. Another diamond drill hole delivered 6.5m @ 4.11g/t Au from 202.2m, with deeper mineralised intercepts returning 9m @ 2.49g/t Au from 262m and 6m @ 3.43g/t Au from 262m.
Hopes Hill South likewise delivered ‘significant’ intercepts such as 8m @ 9.15g/t Au from 124m, including 4m @ 17.44g/t Au from 128m and 5m @ 1.37g/t Au from 245m.
The company notes that these results indicate ‘high-grade’ plunging shoot geometries requiring further infill drilling.
Golden Horse has completed nearly 100km of RC and diamond drilling at Hopes Hill since 2025.
The company has engaged an independent resource geologist to develop its inaugural mineral resource estimate for the project, with completion expected later in 2026.
It has also submitted two mining lease applications at Hopes Hill North to the Western Australian Government Department of Mines, Petroleum and Exploration.
Golden Horse also reports regional RC programs have been completed at the Greenmount, Bells, and Lynette prospects, with mapping, sampling, and early-stage exploration set to commence in July 2026 ahead of regional drilling later this year.
The company intends to continue diamond drilling across the region, with results expected to be released progressively.
Golden Horse Minerals is a gold explorer with a portfolio of assets spanning over 1,800km2 in Western Australia.
