Golden Horse hits ‘high-grade’ gold at Hopes Hill

Golden Horse Minerals (ASX:GHM) has returned ‘high-grade’ gold intercepts from exploration drilling at the Hopes Hill Project in Western Australia, including a highlight of 7m at 13.02 grams per tonne gold from 13m, 200m south of the pit.

Results returned from Hopes Hill Main and Hopes Hill North include 11m @ 2.2g/t gold from 144m, 6m @ 3.6g/t gold from 107m, 4m @ 4.06g/t gold from 64m, and 12m @ 1.06g/t gold from 0m.

The company says the results validate its geological interpretation of the Hopes Hill Shear Zone as a ‘large-scale’ gold mineralised system.

Reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling remains ongoing at Hopes Hill Main and Hopes Hill North.

Managing Director Nicholas Anderson says the shallow intercept has generated excitement within the company.

“With some small-scale workings and the Irene Betty area previously receiving historic attention, our team has always viewed the Hopes Hill South area as geologically interesting which has been proven with the shallow intercept of 7m at 13.0g/t Au in 26HHRC066 generating excitement in the Stable,” Anderson says.

Development studies at Hopes Hill Main remain ongoing, with reports received for flora and fauna, as well as hydrological studies.

The company has completed regional RC drilling at Hakes Find and Marionete, with more than 5,000m drilled across the prospects. The company is still awaiting assay results.

Golden Horse holds a 1,800km² position on the Frasers Shear Zone in Western Australia’s Southern Cross region. The historical Hopes Hill mine produced 216,000 ounces of gold and extends 1.3km in length with a maximum depth of 90m.

“Our exploration strategy for 2026, the Year of the Horse, has been to step out with intent and drill test beyond and beneath the promising orebody at Hopes Hill – and we’re actively executing that plan,” Anderson adds.

“We’re well-positioned to ride out the storm with our strong cash balance and a deliberate focus on project efficiencies to ensure we’re in tip-top shape throughout 2026 and beyond.”

Golden Horse is a near-term gold producer focused on its portfolio of assets in the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
